Machine Pitch Coming to 23/24 Season
Machine pitch is an exciting way to introduce people to baseball or softball. It involves using a pitching machine instead of a human pitcher to deliver consistent and accurate pitches to batters.
Consistency
With a machine, pitches are delivered at a consistent speed and location, making it easier for beginners to practice and improve their hitting skills.
Safety
Machine pitch reduces the risk of wild pitches or erratic throws, ensuring a safer learning environment, especially for young players
Equal Opportunities
It levels the playing field, as everyone faces the same pitches, eliminating the advantage of having a skilled pitcher on one team.
Skill Development
Players can focus on their hitting technique without worrying about the pitcher's abilities, which can accelerate skill development
Inclusivity
It's accessible to players of all skill levels and ages, making it an excellent choice for recreational leagues and youth programs
Fun
Hitting a ball delivered by a machine can be incredibly satisfying and enjoyable, which can motivate newcomers to continue playing the sport.
Why not ty out Machine Pitch
Machine pitch is a great cross-over between tee ball and baseball. Easterns willbe offering Machine Pitch for children between 8 and 12 years of age, and it will serve as a fantastic introduction to those higher skills including the idea of a ‘pitched’ ball, consistently ‘pitched’ by a pitching machine.
